PROJECT NAME - RESIDENTIAL
Location: Solana Beach, CA
Size: 3,396 S.F.
A complete “to the studs” remodel, the Solana Beach Palms residence comprises 3,369 S.F. of interior living space, and a 440 S.F. rooftop deck overlooking Cedros Avenue, downtown Solana Beach, and the ocean beyond.
Before the remodel, the existing non-descript house was a collage of conflicting styles, dated finishes, and random building forms. Although awkward, the existing house had the right bones to be converted into a modern style gem. A young couple saw the potential that the house could become, and decided to purchase the property to transform it into a clean, modern home.
In designing the Solana Beach Palms residence, BGI Architecture stayed within the owners budget, while providing as many modern building conveniences and luxuries as possible. One of the luxuries featured is the home electric and lighting system, which is completely automated and controlled via cell phone apps. At project completion the contractor had finished ahead of schedule, and the new owners moved in to enjoy life close to the beach.
